This month after getting going on the regular routines, students have studied many reading and math concepts and the early history of the earth from Pangea to the early European explorers.
Students have learned to share their planner with their parents on a nightly basis, read at home at least 15 minutes per night, utilize our subscription to MobyMax to help conquer the common core state standards, and have worked on completing and returning homework.
As a class, we are developing our cohesiveness as a group, working toward group rewards, and the responsibilities that come with being the top dogs of the school.
This week we enjoyed an awesome kick off assembly for the science fair with scientist/magician Jeff Evans. He entertained and educated us and inspired students to consider doing a science experiment for the science fair. I highly encourage you to support your child in this endeavor--although it is NOT required.
We also practiced our first lock down drill which we took very seriously.
